Established in 1990 with a commitment to delivering reliable plumbing, heating and cooling services, Harmcor Plumbing & Heating is looking to grow our team of plumbing and HVAC service technicians. We are hiring journeyperson and apprentice technicians with commercial and residential service experience. As our ideal candidate, you will have diverse experience in commercial and residential plumbing and/or HVAC service as well as good communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot problems with plumbing, heating, and cooling systems. This is complemented by your careful attention to detail, friendly and professional demeanour, positive attitude, and commitment to providing top notch customer service. *Duties and Responsibilities* * Installing, repairing and maintaining plumbing and HVAC fixtures and systems, including furnaces, boilers, air conditioning units, tankless water heaters, and hydronic zone systems. * Providing flexible and helpful customer service that leads to customer satisfaction and repeat business. * Staying current with, and promoting compliance to, occupational health and safety requirements and industry codes and standards. * As a journeyperson, you are expected to expertly read and interpret blueprints, work alone or as part of a team, offer ideas in troubleshooting, train apprentices, and lead by example. *Competencies* * Strong knowledge of plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems, equipment, and components * Well-rounded understanding of mechanical equipment in a commercial setting * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills * Able to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines * Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and excellence * Demonstrates collaborative leadership and maintains professional ethical standards within the workplace. * Must have a journeyperson certificate or be a registered apprentice in plumbing, HVAC, or a related field. * Journeyperson: Minimum of five years? experience in plumbing and/or HVAC service. * Apprentice: Minimum of two years? experience in plumbing and/or HVAC service. *Additional Requirements* * Must have a valid Class 5 Alberta Drivers? License with fewer than 6 demerits * Must provide driver?s abstract at time of interview * Able to work overtime and be in an on-call rotation * Able to work in a fast-paced environment, collaboratively with the team and independently * Own basic hand tools *Working Conditions* * This position involves working indoors and outdoors and may be subject to heat, cold, noise and other environmental factors. * This position may require working in awkward body positions including climbing, kneeling, reaching, etc. * Occasional heavy lifting may be required. *Benefits:* * Ongoing training and development * Company vehicle * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * Vision care *Schedule:* * Monday to Friday 8-5 as well as occasional overtime and rotating shifts on call during evenings and weekends. *Experience:* * Journeyperson: Minimum of five years? experience in plumbing and/or HVAC service. * Apprentice: Minimum of two years? experience in plumbing and/or HVAC service.
