Job details
*National Energy Equipment Inc*. provides a full line of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and home comfort equipment. We design, distribute and service complete fuel delivery systems and fluid handling systems for use in agriculture, aviation, commercial/retail petroleum, and industrial/bulk plant applications. We are the largest propane equipment distribution company in Canada and we supply a broad assortment of Hearth products as well.
· Design hydronic systems including radiant panel systems, snow-melt systems, hydronic, radiant cooling installations, unit heaters, heat pumps, air to water systems, boilers, boiler piping systems including all ancillary equipment to meet project needs, customer demands Canadian code requirements, jurisdictional inspector demands, TSASK, inspector requirements.
· Interpret blueprints.
· Perform heat-loss and heat-gain calculations, use software programs to perform the function.
· Perform customer service needs relating to inquiries, pricing, general knowledge, RFP for products/services.
· provide quotations, submittals and specifications to customers.
· Provide customer support related to purchases, installation inquiries, warranties.
· Handle phone calls, e-mails and text messages.
· Match product to competitor products and performance standards.
· Provide technical support, trouble shoot calls with contractors relating to installations, systems, controls, malfunctions, set up, as well as existing installations, piping, low voltage electrical wiring and controls, piping replacement, changes and equipment replacements and integration with existing equipment.
· Communicate with suppliers for products and services to meet specified needs.
· Provide customer support and service related to after sales.
· Possess strong communication skills.
· Complete piping and equipment diagrams.
· Size expansion tanks, piping, fittings, valves, boilers, heat pumps, buffer tanks and ancillary equipment.
· Determine necessary controls and strategy.
· Perform basic math functions as required.
· Select pumps and valves appropriate to performance demands.
*Requirements*
· Hydronic designer certification by a recognized institute such as NAIT, BCIT, TECA, HRAI.
· Minimum grade 12 education.
· Post secondary education is beneficial.
· Preferred experience in hydronic design, installation and troubleshooting is an asset.
· Continue education related to hydronic, HVAC, design and installation.
· Familiarity with Micro-soft, Visio, Right-Suite, Loop-Cad is an asset.
· Strong communication skills is essential.
· Sales-related experience is an asset.
