Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Tasks: Interpret welding process specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. Determine weldability of materials. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment. Welding techniques: Gas metal ARC (GMAW) (MIG). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Welding helmet. Personal suitability: Team player.
