*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with both the dental team and patients. *Responsibilities* * Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. * Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. * Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. * Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency. * Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the dental operatory in compliance with infection control protocols. * Support front office tasks as needed, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries. * Assist in pediatric and orthodontic procedures, providing compassionate care to younger patients. *Experience* * Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of dental terminology essential for effective communication within the team. * Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable. * Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus, enhancing your ability to cater to diverse patient needs. * A background in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) may be beneficial for specific tasks related to dental prosthetics or orthodontics. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient safety.
