Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices. Test and replace defective equipment or components. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Gas Fitter Trade Certification. Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Dependability. Excellent written communication. Team player. Positive attitude. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?.
