*Café Manager Job Description* *Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café & panino shop in the heart of Walkerville. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and hospitality, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to manage staff and ensure a high-quality customer experience. The Café Manager will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, managing inventory, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. *Duties* * Supervise daily café operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards. * Lead and train staff in food preparation, handling, and safety protocols. * Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock without excess waste. * Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and team-building activities. * Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction. * Implement marketing strategies to promote café offerings and attract new customers. * Conduct interviews and hire new staff members, ensuring they align with the café's values and standards. * Report weekly to ownership regarding sales, needs & seasonal changes. *Experience* * Proven experience in a managerial role within the food service or hospitality industry is essential. * Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and best practices in food handling. * Experience in bartending or beverage management. * Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively, with excellent communication skills. * Familiarity with inventory management and point-of-sale (POS).
