The Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Bluenose Primary Care Clinic will provide comprehensive primary care services, lead clinical administration efforts, contribute to the training and development of new nurses and students, assist in devising clinical protocols and policies, and represent Bluenose in clinical settings. The NP will collaborate closely with the COO and CEO to enhance service models, explore new offerings, and work within the team to drive clinical efficiencies and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Primary Care Duties:
* Conduct comprehensive health assessments and diagnose medical conditions.
* Develop, implement, and manage care plans for patients.
* Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments as per scope of practice.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Maintain thorough and accurate patient records.
* Clinical Administration:
* Oversee clinical workflows to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction.
* Monitor adherence to clinical protocols and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory guidelines.
* Training & Development:
* Lead and mentor new nurses and students, providing guidance in clinical practice and professional development.
* Support continuing education and training opportunities for the clinical team.
* Protocol & Policy Development:
* Collaborate with leadership to develop and update clinical protocols and policies that ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care.
* Provide clinical insights and recommendations to enhance care standards.
* Representation & Advocacy:
* Represent Bluenose at clinical meetings, forums, and external events where a clinician's presence is required.
* Advocate for patient care and clinical best practices in various professional settings.
* Strategic Leadership:
* Participate in the strategic planning process alongside leadership, contributing to long-term service development and innovation.
* Work closely with the COO and CEO to shape service models, identify new offerings, and explore opportunities for growth.
* Clinical Efficiencies & Cost Savings:
* Collaborate with the clinical team to identify and implement efficiencies that enhance patient care while reducing operational costs.
* Promote the adoption of best practices and innovative approaches to streamline care delivery.
Qualifications:
* Master?s degree in Nursing and certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
* Active and unrestricted NP license.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably primary care.
* Strong leadership, mentoring, and administrative skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Proficiency in developing clinical protocols and policies.
Working Conditions:
* Full-time position with a standard workweek, with occasional requirements to represent the clinic at external meetings or events.

Pay: $65.00-$90.00 per hour
