<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Location: Ancaster, Ontario Canada (100% onsite)</p><p>Full-time permanent</p><p>Language skills required: Proficient in English</p><p>Hourly rate: $34.62 - $37.25</p><p>Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Out of Country coverage, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Paid Overtime after 40 hours, 30-minute paid meal break, 5 paid sick days, 2 company designated floaters, $200 annually for safety footwear, $200 annually for safety glasses or $400 every 2 years, generous pension plan, Employee recognition program and Service Awards.</p><p>As our next Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, monitoring and adjusting mechanical and hydraulic presses as per established procedures.</p><p>What You'll Be Doing:</p><p>• Improves throughput of operations by optimization of processes.</p><p>• Documents changes to setpoints, programs, and parameters using the Process Change Log, Master program and RID systems</p><p>• Reduces downtime by executing Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities</p><p>• Identifies nonstandard conditions and communicates them to the Production Supervisors for resolution</p><p>• Decreases expenses by ensuring the optimum utilization of resources such as tooling, labour, material and energy.</p><p>• Sets up, monitors, adjusts and maintains mechanical and hydraulic presses per established procedures</p><p>• Troubleshoots and resolves automation, throughput, and Product Quality issues</p><p>• Reviews process sheets, General Assembly, and technical documentation to understand and execute job requirements</p><p>• Minimizes unplanned downtime by performing cleaning, Total Productive Maintenance and minor repairs to equipment</p><p>• Maximizes production of Quality Product through continuous improvement initiatives, process monitoring, and proactive measures</p><p>• Provides training and leadership to Production Associates to ensure quality and production requirements are met</p><p>• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives</p><p>• Ensure the requirements of the Quality Management System, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 are conformed to</p><p>• Other duties as assigned</p><p> </p><p>What We're Looking For:</p><p>• Minimum Post-Secondary Mechanical Engineering Technology / Manufacturing Engineering Technician Diploma or equivalent experience</p><p>• Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in a high speed manufacturing environment</p><p>• Experience on a Coining press preferred</p><p>• Track record of continuous improvement initiatives</p><p>• Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment an asset</p><p>• Experience in setting multi-level die sets, CNC controls and sequence controls an asset</p><p> </p><p><strong><em>Technical & Skill Requirements:</em></strong></p><p> </p><p>• Able to read blueprints</p><p>• Strong mechanical ability</p><p>• Computer literate</p><p>• Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization</p><p>• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation</p><p> </p><p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT (including Physical Demands):</strong></p><p> </p><p>• Must be able to work rotating shifts and overtime as required</p><p>• Manufacturing environment with limited climate control</p><p>• Standing and walking for long periods of time</p><p> </p><p>How to apply: email <span class="long-word">andrea.demichele@johnsonelectric.com.</span> By mail: Johnson Electric Canada Ltd, 1325 Cormorant Rd, Ancaster, ON L9G 4V5 or Fax: 905-304-4353</p><p>What We Offer:</p><p>Johnson Electric offers talented people like you the opportunity to grow professionally and personally, surrounded by some of the most dedicated, innovative, and entrepreneurial colleagues you will find any
