*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various clinical procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, proficiency in dental software, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. *Responsibilities* * Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. * Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. * Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. * Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. * Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients. * Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. * Stay updated on new dental technologies and techniques, including CAD for restorative procedures. *Qualifications* * Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology being advantageous. * Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable. * Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. * Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Certification in Dental Assisting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is essential. * A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing excellent patient care are essential qualities for this role.
