Zone: Labrador Grenfell Zone Location: Labrador Health Centre Psychiatric Registered Nurse II Labrador Grenfell Zone - MH&A Combined Unit Permanent Full-time 56236POS Hours 75 (Shift Work; Days, Nights, Weekends) Salary NS-30 of the RNUNL salary scales, $41.16 - $51.24 per hour plus the applicable Labrador Allowance Competition Number VAC0001570 Posted Date 2024-10-08 Closing Date Open until filled Demands, duties, qualifications Qualifications: Graduation from an approved/recognized school of nursing program is requiredCurrent and continuing practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL) is requiredAdvanced Studies in Mental Health Certificate or Canadian Nursing Association Psychiatric Nursing Certificate, or willingness to obtain in a time frame deemed acceptable by the employerTwo years work experience in a multi-disciplinary mental health setting preferredKnowledge of computer skills and ability to work with Meditech and EMR is an assetThe successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct. Duties: (Included but not limited to) Provides mental health & addiction screening, assessment, intervention, referral, and psychiatric rehabilitation services from a holistic viewOrganizing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care for assigned clientsParticipates in the auditing process as requiredDevelops, coordinates and/or delivers health promotion, maintenance, and illness prevention activitiesEnsures that psychiatrist/physician recommendations on treatment of patients are carried out; prepares and gives medication and injections according to psychiatrist/physician instructions; charts patients' behavior and responsesParticipates in the development, revision, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plansPractices independently according to professional and organizational standardsDocuments according to professional and organizational standardsConsults with clients, psychiatrists, physicians, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure appropriate plans of care are developed, implemented, and monitoredOther related duties as required- LocationHappy Valley-Goose Bay, NL
