We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the pharmacy operations within a community setting, ensuring that patients receive their medications safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration, along with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
* Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles.
* Process prescription orders, including verifying patient information and medication details.
* Provide medication administration support under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
* Educate patients on proper medication usage and answer any questions regarding their prescriptions.
* Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.
* Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications as necessary.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes.
* Supervise and maintain compliance packaging and nursing home prescriptions
*Requirements*
* Valid certification as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
* Previous experience in a pharmacy is preferred.
* Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals.
* Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Knowledge of medication administration protocols is highly desirable.
