We are looking to increase substitute support for our rural school locations.<p>Key Duties/Responsibilities:<p> Educational Assistants (EAs) assist teachers with many instructional and non-instructional tasks in the classroom and with other school activities. EAs work as members of the school and student support team. EAs either work with a particular special needs student or a group of students within a class or in a special program. EAs may provide personal care and additional assistance for students depending on their particular needs.<p>To Learn More, Watch the Video linked below: <p>Life of an Educational Assistant at EIPS <p> <p>Duties will include: <p><p> working with students individually or in small groups<p> working with students with disabilities<p> lifts, transfers, and personal care of students may be required<p> <p> <p><p>Education/Experience: <p> Requirement: High School Diploma <p>Candidates having the following qualifications would be considered an asset:<p><p> training or experience working with students with disabilities<p> behaviour management training<p> courses related to working with students with special needs<p> excellent interpersonal skills<p> <p> the ability to work with students under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher<p> the ability to provide personal care for students<p> Emergency First Aid and CPR<p> Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training<p> Educational Assistant Certificate or comparable education<p><p><p>Only online applications will be accepted.
