*Inner City Diesel Ltd. (ICD)* is excited to announce we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented *Journeyperson Parts Technician* to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively procure and source parts for our operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of our shops. This schedule is a *14-day rotation, working 12-hour shifts per day, with furnished accommodations and fly in fly out for workers across Canada! *No night shift required! *Travel for non-local hires is 100% reimbursed in the form of flights or fuel, *and all accommodations are professionally cleaned and fully furnished, including a full kitchen with dishes and appliances, tv, cable, a washer/dryer, Wi-Fi. ICD Group is your one stop shop for all your maintenance, pumping, dredging, tailings, and fleet management needs! *Why work for us?* * Health & Safety is our #1 priority * Rewarding career opportunity * Supportive team of professionals who believe in safety & providing exceptional services * Access to professional development and training programs * Competitive Wages * *Accommodations are provided and 100% of travel (flight or fuel) is covered/reimbursed for Non-Locals!* * Health & Wellness Benefits, Group RRSP, Retention Plan, and more!! *At ICD, we prioritize customer relationships built on honesty and trust. *Join a team where our culture revolves around being your #1 Trusted Provider. *Responsibilities* * Full cycle parts ordering, ensuring accuracy, charging on shop work orders, receiving orders, putting parts orders away, etc. * Maintain computerized customer profile information and monitor customer records for servicing and appointments * Develop cost estimates and update price lists and catalogues * Take orders from customer, give Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), and log needed parts and time for repairs * Ensure back ordered parts are delivered in a timely manner and notify the appropriate individuals of the process and/or timeline(s) * Source and negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices and quality for parts. * Utilize electronic system to track inventory levels, manage part orders, track consignment and core parts, and maintain accurate records of parts inventory, orders, and transactions. * Convey all necessary information regarding costs, parts, work, and technicians to the customers and management * Organize and ship exchange parts and returns * Prepare repair instructions and lists of needed replacement parts to the Service Technicians * Additional duties as needed *Required Qualifications:* * *Journeyperson or Red Seal Parts Technician * * Minimum of 5 years experience in a Journeyman parts technician role or similar * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical specifications of parts. * Comprehensive experience with Heavy Duty equipment parts and accessories * Proven inventory management experience * Proficient in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring parts efficiently *Key Strengths and Competencies:* * Strong computer skills, including MS Office 365 * Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with vendors and internal teams. * Strong work ethic and positive team attitude * Willing to follow all ICD Employee Policies * Willing to follow all ICD Health, Safety and Environmental Procedures *Successful candidates must provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:* * Comprehensive alcohol and drug test clearance letter * Copy of valid Class 5 driver?s license * Copy of current 3-year clean driver?s abstract * Copies of trade and training certificates If you are an independent and hard-working individual who would like to be part- LocationFort McMurray, AB
