At Downs Construction, providing outstanding customer service is our top priority?we guarantee excellence from start to finish. *Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled and experienced *Professional Painter*, specializing in all aspects of painting, including advanced cabinet painting using HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spray systems. The successful candidate will excel at achieving flawless finishes on cabinets and fine woodwork, while also handling a variety of interior and exterior projects, including residential, commercial, and custom work. *Job Responsibilities* * Represent Downs Construction Ltd. with professionalism and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. * Interpret and develop scopes for projects. * Perform all aspects of painting work, including surface preparation, mixing paints, applying primers, and achieving high-quality finishes. * Execute cabinet painting using HVLP spray systems, ensuring smooth, durable finishes on cabinetry, trim, and fine details. * Repair and prepare walls, trim, ceilings, cabinets, and other surfaces for painting. * Adhere to all company policies, including health and safety protocols. * Accurately complete job-related documentation to ensure proper cost tracking for claims. * Operate a variety of painting tools and techniques, including brushes, rollers, and HVLP spray equipment. * Maintain cleanliness and organization on job sites and in the warehouse. * Adapt to a dynamic work environment with various complex projects. * Leverage experience and knowledge to complete jobs efficiently. * Submit daily timecards. *Job Requirements* * Certified Journeyman Painter (Red Seal) an asset. * Proven experience as a site supervisor, including managing teams and mentoring apprentices. * Expertise in materials, tools, and painting techniques. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively. * Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. * Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards. * Valid BC driver?s license. * Ability to pass a criminal background check. * Experience in the restoration industry is an asset. * Strong customer service skills. *Compensation* * *Hourly Wage:* $32?$38 (commensurate with experience). * *Benefits:* Extensive package including: * Company-issued cell phone * Extended health and dental coverage * Group Retirement Savings Plan (GRSP) * Long-Term Disability (LTD) * Health Care Spending Account * Eligibility after three consecutive months of working a minimum of 20 hours per week. * *Position:* Full-time. * Additional perks include a flexible working environment, a family-oriented culture, and multiple staff events throughout the year.
