*Job Overview* We are looking for a Financial Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing our financial statements, management reporting (MFR), and contributing to annual internal and external every year auditing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and auditing practices to the financial services industry in Canada. *Responsibilities* * *Financial Statement Preparation: *Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with CIRO regulations. * *Management Reporting (MFR): *Compile and analyze Management Financial Reports to provide insights into the company?s financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement. * *Financial Analysis*: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify key performance indicators, variances, and opportunities for optimization. Provide recommendations to senior management based on analysis findings. * *Budgeting and Forecasting*: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis reports. * *Internal Controls*: Maintain and enhance internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. * *Audit Support*: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and regulatory examinations. Prepare necessary schedules and documentation to support audit procedures. *Requirements* - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - Completed or working towards CPA designation - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance Industry - Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, QuickBooks, CaseWare - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail - Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year Additional pay: * Bonus pay Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking * Paid time off Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday Experience: * Financial auditing: 2 years (preferred) Language: * Mandarin (required) Licence/Certification: * Chartered Professional Accountant (preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON M2H 0A9- LocationToronto, ON
