Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Tasks: Inspect electrical and avionics systems. Install aircraft instruments. Ensure that the installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety. Overhaul aircraft instruments. Repair and overhaul, modify, install and test aircraft electrical systems and equipment. Test electrical, electronic and instrument components. Troubleshoot communications, navigation, and autoflight equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, install and inspect aircraft systems and components. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence (AME) - E. Aircraft experience: Large turboprops. Large jet airplanes. Type of industry experience: Commercial air carrier. General aviation. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Airport security clearance. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel. Willing to travel regularly. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Tools.
