*Description*: Ophthalmic assistant wanted for private ophthalmology clinic. Must be highly organized, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must possess strong interpersonal skills. A background in science and/or patient care would be considered an asset. Responsibilities include: \* Greet patients, obtain medical history, measure visual acuity, and administer drops \* Maintain and sterilize examination rooms and equipment on a daily basis \* Stock examination rooms on a daily basis \* Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms \* Order ophthalmic supplies \* Perform visual field tests \* Perform administrative duties as required, such as pulling medical records, filing, regular patient statistics. \* Schedule patients, surgeries, as required. Training will be provided. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-12-02- LocationHalifax, NS
