Famous Toys is Canada?s leading distributor of 1000?s of brand name children?s toys like Barbie, Lego, Hot Wheels, etc. to over 2000 retail stores across Canada. We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Manager to add to our dynamic management team and operate our 50,000 ft2 newer warehouse. The Warehouse Manager oversees the operational and fiscal activities of the Warehouse Department. Famous Toys is investing and implementing technology and advancing processes in all areas of the Company. Responsibilities include strategic planning and developing systems and procedures that improve the operating quality and efficiency within the department, while ultimately ensuring productivity targets are achieved and all warehouse processes are running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Strategically managing the operational and fiscal activities of the department to include: labour productivity, budgets, and financial goals. · Effective planning and developing of layouts, systems and procedures to improve the operating efficiency of the department while utilizing the latest methods and technology. · Analyzing and documenting business processes and problems while developing solutions to enhance efficiencies. · Coordinating and implementing solutions from process analysis and general department projects. · Hiring and supervising staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. · Improving staff performance through coaching, team goals, training, performance reviews and discipline. · Consistently meeting department productivity to ensure KPI targets are met. · Communicating with Supervisors and Managers on Department operations. · Safeguarding the warehouse operations by maintaining and promoting health, safety and security regulations. Qualities we are seeking: · Trust-worthy, honest, safety minded and motivating · Vast knowledge of warehouse processes, procedures, and technology · Strong leadership & experience in supervising projects and team activities · Ability to read and interpret basic financial reports to consistently meet targets · Completion of a High School or College Diploma and 3-5 years of warehouse management experience · Ability to handle pressure and work calmly & efficiently · Strong organizational, written and communication skills · Skilled in efficiently utilizing the tools of the warehouse to achieve high levels of productivity · Proficient with computers & a solid knowledge of general software and applications At Famous Toys we are in the business of having fun and treat our staff with respect & encouragement.
