Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Language interpretation and translation. Peace studies and conflict resolution. International/global studies. Asset languages: Pushto; Pashto. Persian. Tigrinya. Work site environment: Settlement services for new immigrants. Tasks: Revise translated material to ensure that translations retain the meaning, feeling and content of the original material . Interpret oral communication from one language to another aloud or using electronic equipment. Provide interpretation services in court. Interpret for persons speaking an Aboriginal or foreign language. Interpret language for individuals and small groups. Translate a variety of written material. Professionalism in customer service. Personal suitability: Patience. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Experience: Experience an asset.
