Beyond compliance, we genuinely value the experience and knowledge brought to our Indigenous partnerships.</p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Job Description</strong></span></p><p>Reporting to the mechanical supervisor, the mechanic will be responsible for the following activities:</p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities</strong></span></p><ul><li>Properly inspect and maintain mobile and air equipment (surface and underground);</li><li>Safely install devices or equipment;</li><li>Perform basic welding and oxy-fuel cutting as needed;</li><li>Ensure the effective and safe progress of task-related activities;</li><li>Collaborate closely with all team members;</li><li>Secure the work area;</li><li>Actively participate in prevention activities and training;</li><li>Accurately complete daily reports and work orders related to assigned tasks;</li><li>Comply with laws, regulations, and work procedures;</li><li>Perform any other related duties.</li></ul><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Job Requirements</strong></span></p><ul><li>Diploma in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or equivalent training and relevant experience;</li><li>Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a mobile equipment mechanic and Alimak mechanic (an asset);</li><li>Completed Modular Mining Worker Certification (FMTM 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7) and Common Core (Ontario);</li><li>Valid driver?s license;</li><li>Valid general explosives permit;</li><li>Basic computer knowledge (an asset);</li><li>Willingness to work in a remote area and in a multicultural environment;</li><li>Autonomy and resourcefulness;</li><li>Ability to work as part of a team;</li><li>Ability to communicate in French or English with team members.</li></ul><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>WORKING FOR PROCON MEANS...</strong></span></p><ul><li>A competitive and advantageous salary;</li><li>A bonus program;</li><li>Access to a referral program;</li><li>Comprehensive insurance coverage;</li><li>Access to an employee assistance program;</li><li>A simplified retirement plan with employer contributions;</li><li>A dynamic and skilled team;</li><li>Exciting advancement opportunities.</li></ul><p>Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values at Procon, and enhancing the representation of Indigenous groups and minorities within our workforce is a priority.
