Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Work setting: Manufacture. Tasks: Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Clean and maintain work space. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Machinist Trade Certification. Equipment and machinery experience: Boring machines. Drilling machine. Milling machines. Surface grinders. Tool grinders. Repetitive machining operation experience: Turning. Milling. Boring. Drilling. Grinding. Equipment: Single purpose production machine. Tapping machines. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots.
