Union House by Trailway Brewing is looking for a Cook to join our team. Position Requirements: * Previous experience in food service * Valid Food Safety Certification * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation and serving of food according to established recipes and standards * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, surfaces, and storage areas * Take customer orders and process payments accurately and efficiently * Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, including maintaining all temperature and sanitation logs * Provide friendly and attentive customer service * Assist in opening and closing procedures following the standard operating procedures checklists * Collaborate with other staff and Management to ensure a positive customer service experience * Help to develop food specials based on trends and seasonality. * Ensure proper stock of food prep and materials by completing inventory and stock lists. Skills, Abilities, & Personal Characteristics: * Knowledge of food safety regulations and cooking techniques * Organized and efficient * Ability to multitask and work well under pressure * Flexibility to handle varying business levels and unexpected situations * Must be able to work standing for long periods in a hot and small space. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.30 per hour Expected hours: 25 ? 40 per week Additional pay: * Tips Benefits: * Discounted or free food Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Evening shift * Night shift * Weekends as needed Experience: * Kitchen: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationSaint John, NB
