<p>Budget Analyst <p>Secretary-Treasurer's Department <p>Full-Time - Permanent <p>$74,672.21 - $90,168.85 per year The Secretary-Treasurer's Department is responsible for the corporate secretary and business functions of the Winnipeg School Division including: the administrative management of the functions of the Board of Trustees, its committees, and related matters; legal matters and liaison with the Division's solicitors; contract administration; records management; and the administration of the business affairs of the Division.<p>Under the direction of the Controller, the Budget Analyst acts as the business partner to areas throughout the organization to align financial decisions with strategic goals. He/she/they develop a solid understanding of departments and utilize their financial, analytical, and business acumen to support informed decision making. This role is a key member of the Secretary-Treasurers department, as it develops clear planning and reporting processes to support leaders in developing a clear picture of their area and the overall organization.Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: <p> Serves as a strategic business partner, bringing an understanding of finance, value creation and funding drivers. <p> Collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure outlook which support decision. Applies accounting principles, concepts, and policies. <p> Provides an objective view of the organization to ensure decisions are fact based, supported by strong analytics. <p> Analyzes financial results, key performance indicators, and trends and communicates results. <p> Supports workforce planning efforts and ensure staffing details, including changes, are available to leaders in a format that is clear and easily understandable. <p> Streamlines processes and identifies opportunities for automation and peak system utilization. Supports completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. <p> Builds and maintains effective working relationships with cross-functional business partners. <p> Dedication to anti-racism, equity, and diversity. <p> Proven commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. <p> Proven ability to build collaborated cultures founded on integrity and collective purpose. <p> Performs other related duties within this classification and other related classifications not exceeding skills and capabilities as required.Qualifications: <p> A minimum of three (3) years experience in a financial analyst role and CPA (CA, CMA, or CGA) designation in good standing required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. <p> Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on MS Excel including manipulating data, using complex formulas, macros, and pivot tables. <p> Experience using analytical software such as Tableau or Power BI is considered an asset. <p> Demonstrated ability to develop relationships throughout all areas and levels of an organization is required. <p> Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills. <p> Demonstrated ability to streamline processes through procedure change or automation. <p> Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, senior management, other departments, and agencies. <p> Proven ability to communicate both financial and non-financial results, including the development of visuals and KPIs. <p> Strong attention to detail and accuracy. <p> Experience with K-12 or post-secondary education is an asset.How to apply: <p>Click the butt
