Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Tasks: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Prepare tenders and quotations. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Survey building locations and levels. Instruct apprentices. Estimate costs and materials. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Support for persons with disabilities: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities. Support for newcomers and refugees: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees .
