*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. This position requires a proactive individual who can assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
* Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
* Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
* Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
* Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
* Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance claims, and managing patient inquiries.
* Collaborate with dental hygienists, receptionists, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in dental software such as Abel Dent for managing patient records.
* Strong knowledge of dental assisting practices, including familiarity with Periodontics.
* Ability to understand medical terminology related to dentistry.
* Experience in a dental receptionist role is a plus for managing appointments and patient interactions.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the dental team.
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and a clean work environment.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism.
