Polyline Designs Inc. is a small architectural drafting and design firm based in Moncton, NB looking for a full-time Architectural Technologist to join our team. *The Position:* The successful candidate will work closely with the partners to develop preliminary and construction drawings for projects ranging from custom residential, multi-unit residential, mixed use buildings, commercial buildings, and site plans. *Qualifications:* * Diploma in Architectural Technology or similar technical diploma * Previous relevant work experience not necessary but considered an asset * Understanding of wood frame architectural detailing and envelope design. * Proficient in AutoCad. * Understanding of the National Building Code * Good oral and written communication skills in English * Valid Drivers License and personal vehicle * Good time management and organizational skills * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects *Assets:* · Relevant work experience (architectural design, construction, detail drafting) · Experience with software such as Chief Architect/Home Designer, 3D modelling/rendering software such as Sketchup and Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite · Registration or ability to register with NBSCETT *Responsibilities:* * Candidates must have knowledge of wood frame building construction details and analyzing building codes. * Work in a collaborative environment with senior staff with problem identification and solving skills * Complete technical drawings in Autocad and conceptual designs using other software * Additional duties as determined based on the knowledge and experience of the applicant.
