We believe diversity makes us stronger and are committed to removing barriers and creating a workplace that is inclusive and welcoming to people of all backgrounds, cultures, genders, and abilities.<p><p><p><p><p>Job Title: <p>Primary/Junior Teacher, Long-Term Occasional Assignment<p>Job Posting Number: <p>External OECTA #2425-075<p>Eligibility: <p>This posting is open to Teachers on the Occasional Teachers list currently employed by Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and external applicants.<p>Salary Range: <p>Paid based on the salary grid of the Collective Agreement with OECTA according to QECO rating and years of experience.<p>Closing Date: <p>November 13, 2024 at 4pm<p>Assignment: <p><p> Primary/Junior Teacher<p><p> 1.0FTE, Long-Term Occasional Assignment<p> Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School<p> Commencing November 28, 2024 until further notice<p><p><p><p><p>Qualifications: <p><p> Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)<p> Division Specific Qualifications<p><p>Application and Requirements: <p>An application package will include the following documents: <p><p> Cover Letter with Resume<p> Current Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers<p> Submission of Roman Catholic Pastoral Reference (current within 1 year) OR a Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate and a Personal Letter of Faith<p> Two professional letters of reference<p><p>As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must provide a Criminal Background Check (CBC) with vulnerable sector screening current within six months of date of hire.<p>NOTE: <p> <p>Filling of long-term occasional assignments shall occur without an in-person interview. Boards shall continue to staff long-term occasional assignments from the 3 most senior qualified applicants who are available for the assignment.
