Western Zone is seeking the services of a full-time equivalent Emergency Room Physician for Western Memorial Regional Hospital (WMRH) in Corner Brook, NL. A full-time equivalent physician is required to work 14-16 Emergency Department shifts per month at WMRH. The successful applicant will be expected to provide 8-hour rotational shifts. The Emergency Department for WMRH has approximately 40,000 patient visits per year, double coverage, specialty back-up, CT/MRI/Interventional Radiology, incentives available. Western Memorial Regional Hospital, a brand new, state of the art, acute care hospital opened in June 2024, is a 164-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 80,000 people. Qualifications Required: Eligible for licensure as an Emergency Room Physician with The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL), CCFP-EM or CCFP certified with Emergency Medicine experience,Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified and meet the credentialing requirements of Western Health's Discipline of Emergency Medicine. Certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)is desirable. Remuneration: In accordance with Medical Care Plan (MCP) guidelines for Category A Emergency Departments. An annual Retention Bonus is offered in accordance with the current MOA.
