Western Zone, situated on the scenic west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, is seeking the services of a salaried Anatomical Pathologist for Western Memorial Regional Hospital (WMRH), Corner Brook. The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of anatomic pathology, cytopathology and autopsy services. Western Memorial Regional Hospital, a brand new, state of the art, acute care hospital opened in June 2024, is a 164-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 80,000 people. Qualifications Required: Eligible for licensure as a Pathologist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Anatomic Pathology certified or eligible or American Board of Pathologists in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP boards) certified and satisfy the credentialing requirements of Western Health's Discipline of Pathology. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, laboratory staff and medical professionals are essential. Candidates with other combinations of experience, training and personal attributes are encouraged to apply and may be considered. Remuneration: The Pathologists Salary Scale ranges from $263,672 to $285,596 a year as outlined in the current Memorandum of Agreement (MOA ).The Department of Health and Community Services in accordance with Provincial Guidelines will officially determine a Physician's step assignment with yearly progression thereafter. An annual Retention Bonus and Pathology Bonus are offered in accordance with the current MOA. Additional benefits are available.
