Full time equivalent is 240 hours a year .Central Zone is the second largest health zone in Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services, serving approximately 90,000 people (17 per cent of the province's population) living in 176 communities. With a geographical area encompassing more than half the total land mass of the island, the Central region extends from Charlottetown in the east, Fogo Island in the north, Harbour Breton in the south, to Baie Verte in the west.Central Zone provides a variety of primary, secondary, long-term care, community health, and other enhanced secondary services.The successful applicant will provide Emergency, clinic, inpatient and long-term care coverage at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Center which divided equally between the physicians located at this site. After hours/weekend/stat holiday on-call assignment on an equitable basis.Visit the following web site for information on the Community of Harbour Breton: HOME | harbour-breton Qualifications Required*Eligible for licensure as a Family Physician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL)*Current ACLS certification and satisfy credentialing requirements of Western Health's Discipline of Family Practice.*Experience working in an Emergency Room is an asset.Hours of Work75 hours biweekly plus on-call obligations (Emergency shift is 24 hours)RemunerationIn accordance with Medical Care Plan (MCP) guidelines for Category B Emergency Departments.
