*Key Responsibilities:* *Shipping and Documentation:* * Oversee and coordinate the packing and shipping of items ranging from small boxes to large, bulky crates. * Ensure all documentation, including customs paperwork, is complete and accurate to facilitate smooth entry into destination countries. * Track shipments and provide clients and internal teams with updates on estimated delivery times. *Logistics and Route Planning:* * Identify the most efficient routes and modes of transportation for shipments, balancing cost and speed. * Build relationships with international carriers, freight forwarders, and local couriers in remote areas. * Develop contingency plans for urgent or time-sensitive shipments, including arranging on-foot couriers in remote locations as needed. * Assist with applications for international work visas and permits for field operators, as well as customs compliance when employees are accompanying goods internationally *Regulations and Compliance:* * Stay up-to-date with international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and import/export restrictions to ensure full compliance. * Anticipate potential logistical or regulatory obstacles and develop strategies to address them. *Risk Management:* * Assess and mitigate risks associated with shipping high-value or fragile items, including recommending packaging materials and special handling instructions. * Conduct regular reviews of shipping and logistics processes to identify areas for improvement. * Work with Safety team and provide site-survey input when planning new jobs *Qualifications:* * *Experience:* Minimum 3-5 years in international logistics, with a focus on project or specialty logistics. * *Knowledge:* In-depth understanding of customs regulations, international shipping documentation, and remote logistics. * *Skills:* Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to handle complex shipping requirements. *Other:* Familiarity with specialized packing and handling for sensitive equipment and experience with remote supply chain coordination are highly preferred.
