Western Zone is seeking the services of a salaried, Family Physician to provide primary care at the DeGrau Medical Clinic, Newfoundland and Labrador. The position includes clinical and administrative duties involving family practice and is a member of the Stephenville/Bay St. George Family Care Team. Collaborative Team support will be provided from the Bay. St. George Family Care Team Clinic. The Physician will be required to provide cross-coverage for family practice services at other clinics in the area during temporary absences of other medical staff. The regional referral centre for Western Health is Western Memorial Regional Hospital, a 171-bed facility that provides services to a population base of approximately 80,000 people. We are affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Faculty of Medicine, and we encourage and support academic interests. Qualifications Require: Medical Degree, eligible for licensure as a Family Physician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL) and satisfy credentialing requirements of Western Health's Discipline of Family Practice. Minimum of 2 years experience in related work is an asset. Language of Work: English Hours of Work: 80 hours biweekly Remuneration: The General Practice Salary Scale ranges from $198,724.00 to $215,097.00 as outlined in the current Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The Department of Health and Community Services in accordance with Provincial Guidelines will officially determine a Physician's step assignment with yearly progression thereafter.
