Join us and be part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and excellence. *Job Summary* We?re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team and lead a team of 3 junior accountants. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. This role involves managing complex financial data and supporting the Controller with various financial analyses and projects. We're looking for someone who has a passion for growth and is ready to contribute to our continued success. * Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met. * Reconcile general ledger accounts, maintain balance sheet reconciliation and ensure the accuracy of financial data. * Review revenue reconciliation and ensure the accuracy of franchise reporting. * Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Manage all statutory and regulatory filings and returns (such as GST/HST, EHT, WSIB, T4As, T5s, annual returns in Canada and US) and the correspondence with the government bodies (such as CRA, Service Canada, Revenue Quebec, IRS, Ministry of Finance) * Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP. * Working closely with FP&A team in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and consolidated reports for the yogurt sector. * Prepare monthly cash flow forecast for the yogurt sector. * Assist the Controller with financial analyses, reporting, and special projects as needed. * Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the accounting function. * Assist with ERP system implementation. *Qualifications:* * Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. * Team management experience. * 5+ years of accounting experience. * Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. * Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * A passion for growth and continuous improvement. * CPA (asset) * Experience in the food and beverage, retail industry, franchisee (strong asset) *What We Offer:* * Benefits package. * Opportunities for professional growth and development. * A fun and collaborative work environment. *How to Apply* Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience Join Yogen Früz and help us keep the world smiling, one frozen yogurt at a time!
