*Role Summary: *The Director - Marketing & Innovation reports into the President, and champions and promotes Chewter?s mission, vision, values, and goals and strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for driving direction for and overseeing Marketing, Innovation, R&D, and New Product Project Management for the organization.
* Marketing is inclusive of Strategic Brand Management and full-funnel marketing plans ranging from digital, social, PR, influencer, eCommerce (DTC & AMZ), email and trade marketing.
* Innovation is inclusive of the R&D and New Product Project Management teams that bring new products to life across the Branded, Private Label and Co-Manufacturing segments of the business.
*Key Accountabilities*
*I - Marketing*
*Strategic Brand Management*
* Brand Messaging ? Act as owner and champion of brand messaging to ensure consistency across all communications touchpoints and assess/evaluate as needed with changes in consumer landscape.
* Marketing planning and budgeting ? Translate business objectives into an effective and efficient marketing plan and corresponding budget to achieve said objectives. Manage within approved budget across all areas of responsibility.
* Packaging Communications ? Partner with the artwork team on any new packaging projects and ensure all new packaging aligns to brand guardrails. Ensure all packaging updates are made as needed to comply with all legal, regulatory and country/customer specific requirements.
*Digital Marketing*
Manage and mentor Digital Marketing Associate in execution of plans across:
* *Social Media Platforms:* Community management, organic content creation, brand partnerships & giveaways, and paid campaigns that drive both brand awareness and DTC sales (FB/IG/TT/PT/LI).
* o *Influencer Marketing:* Advise on both paid and gifted campaigns that best support key initiatives and drive awareness.
* *Email Marketing*: Partner with DMA and external agency in creation of email campaigns that support key content pillars and key digital initiatives across DTC and retail/club
* *Owned Sites*: Advise and mentor on managing website improvements, maintenance and updates with DMA and external partners. Assist in setting appropriate KPIs and tracking against them to meet overall objectives.
* *Digital KPIs:* Set with DMA and report out monthly.
* *Amazon Agency Management: *Lead relationship with 3PL and lead weekly call with 3PL partner to ensure proactive improvements, monitoring sales and watching inventory levels to ensure adequate inventory and forecasting.
*Trade Marketing*
* Manage Trade Show budget and schedule for the greater organization in partnership with artwork team. (Lead show selection/registration and total brand presence (booth design, activations, product showcases, awards, sampling, etc.)
* Partner with Agency Vendors to plan and execute all Demo Programs across Key Accounts. Plan demo frequency, support with training, materials, and feedback for learning/improvement.
* Execute Customer Level Digital Marketing Campaigns working directly on platform or with partner vendors.
*II ? Innovation / R&D / Project Management*
*Innovation Strategy*
* Track trends and consumer preferences, sharing insights with organization.
* Develop pipeline of innovation concepts across product and pack to align to consumer and category needs. Build business case and supporting critical path timeline.
* Plan launches to meet business objectives, testing with key customers and rolling out national launches on schedule.
