*Business Development Manager*
*Reports to: CEO*
*Salary: $60,000 base salary + commission ($90,000 - $100,000 total on target earnings salary + commission combined 2025)*
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *New Business Development: *is effective in bringing new opportunities and projects to White Canvas through relationship-building, networking and other business development tactics.
* *Lead vetting*: Evaluates inbound leads on discovery calls
* *Account management & client retention*: assists with current client roster relationships as directed, and leads client satisfaction and retention strategies.
* *Prospective client presentations:* designs proposal presentations and delivers them in a virtual or in-person meeting experience.
* *Client Onboarding:* Assists with onboarding of new clients, both internally with the team and Office Manager, and externally with the client to kick off a positive early experience.
* *Sales forecasting:* in collaboration with the CEO is responsible for updating sales forecasting data on a weekly basis within CRM and spreadsheet masters for review
* *Attends networking events: *As requiredattends client events alongside the Creative Director and/or CEO (estimated 6-10 per year)
* *Company Leadership: *This is a key leadership role within the company. You will be part of monthly leadership meetings, involved in key decision-making, and contribute to an overall positive company culture that is aligned with our company values of empowerment, curiosity, being daring and authentic. This position is a within the organization and believes in our mission, vision and our people.
* *Management* - one administrative role (the Office Manager) reports to this position. You will be responsible for conducting monthly 1-1s and leading bi-annual performance reviews for this position.
*Skills / Requirements:*
* An excellent communicator both verbally and written form
* Excels in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Has a positive attitude, is collaborative and works well in a team environment
* Values work-life balance and self-care
* Completion of a Business or Marketing Degree or Diploma is preferred
* Minimum 4 years sales experience (ideally in an agency or related industry)
* Familiar with Hubspot CRM platform an asset
* A proven track record of sales performance for both inbound and outbound lead management
* Must have a valid driver's license / vehicle
* A proposal writing and sales pitching superhero
* Aptitude for customer service and overall client experience and satisfaction
* Understanding of Google Drive Applications
* Bonus attributes: Experience working with Adobe Acrobat and InDesign
