<p> Position: Teaching Principal Location: Cold Lake School Start Date: January 6, 2025 FTE: 1.00 FTE Term of Employment: Permanent Application Deadline: Open Until Filled The Division provides a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, transportation and moving expense reimbursement, subsidized housing or housing allowance and isolation allowance in qualifying communities, annual travel reimbursement, reimbursement for approved courses and more! Cold Lake School is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 School with approximately 20 students, a teaching principal, classroom teacher and three support staff members working in multi-age classrooms. The school is located in the picturesque community of Sherridon, which is road accessible and is approximately 100 km from Cranberry Portage and 120 km from Flin Flon, a full-service community.<p>Qualifications: <p> Bachelor of Education degree and valid Manitoba Teachers Certificate (or eligibility for) <p> Masters Degree in Education and/or Certificate in School Leadership would be an asset. <p> Previous teaching experience including experience in multi-graded classrooms. <p> Previous administrative experience would be an asset. <p> Excellent understanding of current Manitoba Curricula and differentiated instruction <p> Experience with integrating Indigenous culture and land-based teaching into curriculum. <p> Proficiency in a variety of computer applications in a network environment and experience with and understanding of school-based technology. <p> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills <p> Ability to effectively communicate with parents and the community and foster parental involvement. <p> Previous success with the development and implementation of short and long-term school-based plans <p> Experience leading innovative and alternative program delivery methods for students. <p> Keen ability to identify and creatively solve problems. <p> Capacity to work in and respond to a demanding, fast-paced school environment.
