*Job Overview* We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. This position requires a strong commitment to caregiving, empathy, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Must be Available Wednesdays for a 7am-7pm shift as well. Hardworking caregivers get lots of hours! We work with caregivers' schedules. We are a busy company and need caregivers who can take on regular clients on a weekly basis. The more clients you take on, the busier you are. *Responsibilities* * Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. * Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for residents. * Support patients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. * Monitor and document patient health status and report any changes to nursing staff. * Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance patient well-being. * Assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals. * Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments. * Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients in accordance with health regulations. *Requirements* * Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare settings is preferred. * Registered HCA * Available for a 12 hour visit on Wednesdays 7am-7pm * Knowledge of home care practices and assisted living protocols is a plus. * Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist patients with mobility challenges. * Experience in hospice care or senior care is highly desirable. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. * Compassionate demeanour with a genuine interest in helping others.
