Traffic Operations SupervisorLead our traffic operations team!The City of Kelowna is seeking a dedicated Traffic Operations Supervisor to lead a team of 20 committed staff in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective traffic operations services. Reporting to the Roadways Operations Manager, the Traffic Operations Supervisor plays a key role, working collaboratively with a second supervisor to manage the City?s Traffic Operations Programs. This position oversees the installation, maintenance, and inventory of traffic control devices?including signs, barricades, and road markings?and directs the operation of the City Sign Shop. The successful candidate will also co-administer the Road Usage Permitting program, review traffic plans for construction and public events, and lead community initiatives like Graffiti Management and Adopt-a-Road programs.Ideal candidates have over 10 years of experience in Traffic Operations, expertise in municipal traffic systems and asset management, and preferably an IMSA Signs & Markings certification. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication skills to engage with the public, developers, and contractors in ensuring road safety and efficiency for the City of Kelowna.Help create Kelowna as a city of the future.
