As a non-profit organization that is responsive to both industry and community needs, the Saskatoon Trades and Skills Centre (STSC) delivers short-term trades and skills training to youth and adults, leading to entry-level jobs where workers are in high demand. ROLE: The STSC Job Coach - Trades & Light Industrial is responsible for the coordination, implementation and facilitation of STSC programs focused on construction trades/light industry in alignment with the organizations strategic plan to ensure successful delivery and positive outcomes for all stakeholders in our community. DUTIES:- Deliver and facilitate relevant STSC courses- Participate in program development- Promote STSC training programs to appropriate industry partners- Plan, track, and report on outputs and outcomes on a monthly basis- Participant coaching including job search support- Maintain database, electronic records and other administrative duties- Maintain inventory control and equipment upkeep- Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed- Liaise with STSC Industry employers and practicum placements- Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and/or Executive Director REQUIREMENTS:- Good knowledge and handling of project management methodology and techniques- Experience in providing employment support services to a diverse client group including marginalized individuals- Strong understanding of classroom instruction methods and the ability to deliver material in an engaging manner- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Strong knowledge of trades and apprenticeship opportunities in Saskatchewan- Valid drivers license- Journey Person/Vocational Certificate or Post-secondary in a related field- Clean vulnerable sector criminal record check- LocationSaskatoon, SK
