Coordinator - Learning Services - 1.0 FTE Social Studies FocusFebruary 3, 2025 to June 30, 2026 Responsibilities will include: Providing District leadership for the implementation of the new Social Studies curriculaSupporting District staff in planning, instruction, assessment, and accessing resources for Social Studies coursesUsing data to identify areas of excellence and opportunities for improvement in district and school results in Social StudiesCoordinating and/or leading professional development experiences for staffCollaboration with First Nations, Mtis, and Inuit Learning Services to infuse Indigenous connections and culture with the Social Studies curriculaDesirable qualifications: Strong instructional leadership capabilitiesSuccessful teaching experience across a broad level of grades in Social Studies will be considered an assetExperience and interest in working collaboratively with colleagues to improve learning outcomesAdministrative experience would be an asset but not necessaryKnowledge and experience in using artificial intelligence, Brightspace, and other technologies to support teaching and assessment of Social Studies curriculaAll Red Deer Public School Division certificated staff from any current Teaching, Vice Principal, Principal or other positions are welcome to apply for this position.
