*Opportunity for a Registered Psychologist: Join a Creative, Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice!*
Are you a Registered Psychologist seeking the freedom and autonomy of private practice without the administrative demands? Do you value a collaborative, team-based approach and a chance to make a real impact on neurodiverse and mental health communities? If so, we have a unique opportunity for you!
*About Us:* TherapyWorks is a growing multidisciplinary practice with a vibrant team of Social Workers, Counsellors, Occupational Therapists, Youth Development Facilitators, Specialized Educational Support, and Life Skills Coaches. Together, we support clients across the lifespan?especially those who are neurodiverse or have complex learning, mental health, and developmental needs. Our practice prioritizes a flexible, ?meet the client where they?re at? approach, fostering creativity and neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed care.
Our clinical environment is supportive and lively. We value authenticity and encourage team members to bring their whole selves to work, creating a space where clinicians feel as supported as our clients.
*Position Overview:* We?re seeking a Registered Psychologist to enrich our services and help us meet growing demands for psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions. While assessment and diagnosis are the priorities for this role, Psychologists interested in additional services, such as Mental Health Counselling, Couple?s Therapy, or Group Therapy, are encouraged to apply. This is a part-time independent contractor position with a minimum requirement of 10 billable hours per week, with flexibility for increased hours if desired.
*What You?ll Enjoy:*
* *Flexible Work Arrangements: * You are welcome to work in person in our Kamloops office or join our virtual team of clinicians. We are able to provide on site support for assessments if they are conducted at a distance.
* *Freedom and Autonomy:* Enjoy control over your schedule and work hours, with minimal administrative responsibilities.
* *Supportive Infrastructure:* We handle overhead, software (Jane), administrative tasks, client referrals, marketing, and training, so you can focus on client care.
* *Exceptional Facilities:* Our new clinical space includes a play therapy room, group rooms, movement areas, and more. Free on-site parking is available, with plenty of nearby options.
* *Collaborative Team Culture:* Our practice encourages knowledge sharing and collegial support, with frequent opportunities to connect and learn from one another.
* *Competitive Compensation:* Remuneration is based on a percentage of earnings.
*Ideal Candidate Profile:*
* *Qualifications:* Doctoral degree in clinical psychology (or equivalent), and registration (or eligibility) with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
* *Experience:* 1-5 years in assessing and supporting children, youth, and adults with developmental, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
* *Skills:* Proficiency in diagnosing Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, FASD, and other neurodivergent conditions. Awareness of PDA profile in Autism and the collaborative approaches most successful in facilitating participation.

* *Additional Requirements:* Professional liability insurance (general liability recommended), a vulnerable sector criminal record check, and a commitment to ethical, client-centered practice.
*Our Commitment to Diversity:* TherapyWorks is a neurodiversity and LGBTQI2S+ affirming agency. We welcome clinicians who are comfortable with their authentic selves and bring flexibility, creativity, and a trauma-informed approach to client work. *Note:* Candidates aligned with traditional or modern ABA practices need not apply.
