INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING No. 2024-020E<p> <p>AGASSIZ AREA <p>1.0 F.T.E. CONTINUING LANGUAGE TEACHER <p> <p>A 1.0 F.T.E. Continuing Language Instructor is required effective September 1, 2024. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching Halq?emeylem to students in the Agassiz area.<p> <p>The successful applicant must possess:<p><p> a valid B.C. Teaching Certificate or a Halq?emeylem language fluency sufficient for the Language Authority to recommend an Indigenous Language Teaching Certificate;<p> have adequate training and experience with Halq?emeylem Language;<p> have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;<p> have knowledge and respect of Halq?emeylem Culture and Traditions; <p> have strong leadership skills;<p> display strong classroom management skills;<p> experience working with Indigenous Students, their families, and communities;<p> successfully pass a Criminal Record Check;<p> a valid B.C.
