*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Kinesiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human movement and rehabilitation techniques, with a focus on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices. This role requires excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and proficiency in electronic medical records systems. The Kinesiologist will work closely with patients in various settings, including hospitals and outpatient facilities, to develop personalized treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance physical performance.
*Responsibilities*
* Assess patients' physical abilities and limitations through comprehensive evaluations.
* Develop individualized rehabilitation programs based on assessment results and patient goals.
* Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and overall function.
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, to provide holistic care.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records for all patient interactions and treatments.
* Provide education to patients and families regarding injury prevention, exercise techniques, and health promotion strategies.
* Utilize computer software such as Excel and Outlook for scheduling appointments and tracking patient data.
* Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering a supportive environment for patients.
*Experience*
* A degree in Kinesiology or a related field is required; additional certifications in rehabilitation or exercise science are preferred.
* Experience in acute care settings or hospitals is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems is essential for efficient documentation of patient care.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an asset but not mandatory.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining a patient-centered focus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
Schedule:
* Evening shift
* Monday to Friday
* Morning shift
* Weekends as needed
