NVRC values employees, offering a competitive salary and a great working environment.GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICEYou will be delivering excellent customer service experiences by providing safety patrols on the ice and building; administering first aid when necessary and supporting special events and games. You will also work in the skate shop providing rental and skate sharpening services to the public; rental skate maintenance and supporting skating lessons.ABOUT YOUYou are a team player committed to community. You are reliable, responsive to customer needs, and excellent at building relationships. You are courteous to the public in providing information and assistance. You are an excellent communicator with a positive and enthusiastic attitude that works to create a fun, safe environment in the arenas for both children and adults of all abilities.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSStandard First Aid certification and good skating ability is required. Coaching or refereeing experience and skate sharpening experience is an asset. We will provide training on skate sharpening.This is an auxiliary position with primary hours between 9:00am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday. All employees will be available to work at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location. All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a requirement of the position.HOURLY RATE: The pay for this unionized position starts at $22.43 and ranges to $23.41 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of benefits.
