TD Steel is a leading supplier of precision and structural metal components and value-added services to customers throughout the lower mainland and interior of BC. *Summary* As a Brake Press Operator, you will be a vital part of our manufacturing team, utilizing your expertise in operating press brake machines to bend and cut steel and steel parts. Your proficiency in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge will ensure accurate and efficient production processes. Your ability to work with precision and attention to detail, along with your English proficiency, will be essential in meeting production targets and maintaining high-quality standards. We offer afternoon and weekend shift premiums. *Job description* · Operation of 850 Ton Accurpress CNC brake press - Operation of 400 Ton Accurpress CNC brake press · Operation of 250 Ton Accurpress CNC brake press · Forming of 16ga - 1? plate · Read, analyze and interpret shop drawings · Safely rig components for lifting. · Assure the quality of work produced is acceptable to company standards and specifications. · Production and prototype bending of parts as directed · Follow work instructions and directions as per customer parts · Perform simple to complex forming, rolling and step bending of metal parts · Set up, operate and program a variety of small to large CNC press brake correctly · Identify opportunities for improvement. · Operate equipment safely according to their intended use. · Handle incoming and outgoing parts safety and with care to avoid damage or injury. · Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required. *To be our successful candidate you would need to have:* · Experience in metal processing · Experience in brake press operation *Qualifications and skills:* · Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs. · Mechanical Aptitude · A positive attitude, self-motivated with a strong work ethic. · Punctual and reliable · Good Mechanical Blueprint reading skills · Good hand eye coordination · Able to stand for extended periods · Flexible individual with the ability to prioritize a changing workload · Understanding of quality control procedures used during machine operation · Able to meet tight deadlines in a semi repetitive, fast paced, fun and professional environment · Ability to work independently and as a team, self-starter and energetic · Understand and speak fluent English TD Steel provides employees with a great working environment, benefits, paid vacations, employee recognition programs (company BBQs, employee referral bonus program, years of services award).
