Limestone schools serve more than 20,500 students in 55 schools and five alternative education centres covering a geographic area of 7,719 square kilometres across the City of Kingston, the Townships of Central Frontenac, North Frontenac, South Frontenac, Addington Highlands, Loyalist, Stone Mills, the Frontenac Islands and the Town of Greater Napanee.<p>Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience <p>We are seeking qualified Primary, Junior and/or Intermediate Elementary Teachers to join our Elementary Occasional Teacher List who demonstrate: A passion for teaching and learning<p> A commitment to student learning and engagement<p> A commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive pedagogy<p> A commitment to the OCT Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice<p> A growth mindset with the ability to adapt to a continually evolving environment<p> Knowledge and understanding of the Ontario Curriculum in a variety of subject areas<p> Knowledge and understanding of a variety of assessment strategies<p> Excellent interpersonal and communication skills<p> Strong planning, problem solving and organizational skills<p> Resilience, optimism, and self-efficacyHow to Apply <p>If you are passionate about teaching and learning and are energized by a career where you will have a positive impact on the life of a child, and you can see yourself in Limestone, please visit https://limestone.simplication.com to complete your application for Elementary Occasional Teachers by 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17th, 2024, where you will be asked to provide the following: Resume detailing your skills and experience.<p> A maximum 2-minute video clip or cover letter that represents how you see yourself in Limestone. If you choose to submit a video, please create your video clip using YouTube and embed the link to your video clip in your resume under your name.<p> OCT registration link (please provide your number even if you are not yet in good standing).<p> All summative Practicum Teacher Reports (from 2023-2024 Faculty of Education graduates).Internationally trained educators with equivalent international experience, who have a current Ontario Certificate of Qualification are encouraged and invited to apply.<p>Interviews <p>Interviews will be held in person at the LDSB Education Centre 220 Portsmouth Avenue, Kingston on Wednesday December 4th, 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be requested to submit written consent to contact three professional referees, including current and prior supervisors.
