*THE JOB* We are looking for a talented front-end web developer with ample experience creating and maintaining React applications built in TypeScript. You should be experienced in creating modern, efficient, scalable apps following current development and design best practices. Strong experience in modern React web development is vital. *WHO WE ARE * AIVIA Design and Technology Engineering is a small team of highly-trained and passionate mobile app developers and custom enterprise software specialists based in Edmonton, Alberta, founded in 2002. During that time we have grown our company and services, and are now rapidly expanding our Software as a Service (SAAS) business across North America with Communikit, a mobile app framework that allows our clients to easily communicate with their communities using simple to use but powerful tool sets. We believe in doing new and exciting things with technology and solving problems via automation, with a particular focus on supporting local, provincial, and national First Nations organizations in their technology and communications efforts. *WHAT YOU?LL BE DOING AS PART OF OUR TEAM* Front-End Web App Development using React & TypeScript - Translating Figma Designs into working, production quality code. - Utilizing Git with the team to track and submit code changes to new and existing projects. - Working with a small team of designers and developers to expand out SAAS mobile communications app platform. *WHAT YOU NEED* Demonstrated interest in software development, problem solving, and technology ? Strong, demonstrated web development fundamentals (you're able to create amazing sites that work using vanilla HTML, CSS & Vanilla JavaScript). - Strong knowledge of the React framework (Other framework knowledge would be a bonus). - Strong knowledge base of Redux, Axios, React Router, React hooks/functional components and interacting with REST API's - Solid understanding and knowledge in Typescript - A portfolio demonstrating your amazing app development skills. - Graphic design, animation, mobile app development (Swift/Kotlin) skills are a plus, but not mandatory. - Effective and open communication skills that demonstrate transparency and a collaborative attitude. - A go-getter attitude with an ability to take initiative on tasks and think outside the box. - Exceptional organizational and project coordination skills. - A positive attitude and a collaborative team mentality. - If you have any other special skills and talents, we?d love to hear about them! *WHAT WE PROVIDE* The annual salary range for this position is $45,000.00-$100,000.00 and will commensurate with your experience, talent, skills and education. - Comprehensive health and dental benefits package. - Annual vacation time, as per Alberta employment standards. - Flexible scheduling.
