*Position Summary:*
We are seeking a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) experienced in working with children, youth, and families. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who values collaboration and is dedicated to supporting clients through a range of personal challenges and life transitions. This role is flexible and will be structured as a contractor position, with the potential for a mix of virtual and in-person sessions.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Individual and Family Counselling:*
Provide counselling and therapeutic interventions to children, youth, and families addressing various challenges such as emotional, behavioral, relational, and developmental issues.
* *Client Assessments:*
Conduct intake assessments, including risk and needs assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to client goals and needs.
* *Case Management:*
Monitor and document clients? progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure effective support, and maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines.
* *Collaboration and Consultation:*
Engage in collaborative case consultations with colleagues and participate in regular supervision, particularly for complex cases, to ensure quality client outcomes and professional development.
* *Crisis Intervention:*
Provide immediate support in crisis situations, including appropriate referrals to other healthcare providers or community resources when necessary.
* *Educational Support:*
Offer psychoeducational resources to clients and families, helping them understand therapeutic processes, coping strategies, and ways to foster supportive family dynamics.
*Qualifications:*
* *Certification/Registration:*
Must hold a current registration as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) or as a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
* *Experience:*
Minimum 2 years of experience working with children, youth, and families in a clinical setting. Experience with trauma-informed care and attachment-based approaches is an asset.
* *Skills:*
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust. Proficient in creating treatment plans and conducting assessments. Able to work independently while being open to collaboration.
* *Flexibility and Adaptability:*
Comfortable managing a varied caseload and open to providing both in-person and virtual sessions, as appropriate for the client.
*Additional Information:*
This is a contractor position, with competitive remuneration based on session rates. Scheduling is flexible, though some evening or weekend availability may be required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $1,000.00-$2,000.00 per week
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
