*Job description*
A newly opening premium Indian multi-cuisine restaurant and bar is seeking a talented and innovative *Executive Chef* with a strong emphasis on Kerala cuisine. We are looking for an experienced culinary leader who can design an exceptional menu that not only showcases the diverse flavors of Indian regional cuisine, with a focus on Kerala dishes, but also pairs well with an extensive bar program. This is a unique opportunity to lead the kitchen for a vibrant *resto-bar* concept, combining exquisite food with a curated beverage experience.
*Key Responsibilities*:
* Develop and design a menu focused on Indian regional cuisine, with special emphasis on Kerala dishes, that complements the bar offerings.
* Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring consistency in food quality, presentation, and timely service.
* Lead and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Collaborate with the bar team to create food and beverage pairings that enhance the dining experience.
* Source and manage high-quality ingredients, ensuring authenticity in flavor and freshness.
* Work with management on menu pricing, seasonal offerings, and cost control.
* Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organization.
*Qualifications*:
* Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in Indian cuisine, particularly with Kerala or South Indian specialties.
* Ability to create a cohesive menu that complements a full-service bar.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate kitchen staff.
* Expertise in ingredient sourcing, kitchen management, and food costing.
* Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
*Requirements*:
* Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid work permit.
* Experience working in the Canadian hospitality industry is preferred.
*Compensation*:
Competitive salary based on experience, with opportunities for career growth as the restaurant expands.

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
