*Overview* FCR is looking on behalf of a client for a Construction Estimator. As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for a diverse range of projects. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project completion within budget and on time. *Key Responsibilities* * Develop detailed cost estimates for various project types, including renovations, new builds, and expansions. * Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and tender documents. * Research materials, subcontractors, and equipment costs to ensure competitive pricing. * Collaborate with project managers to define scope of work, timelines, and budgets. * Monitor and manage change orders and cost adjustments throughout the project. * Maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality and value. * Coordinate with other estimators to ensure smooth collaboration and efficiency. * Present and review estimates with management as required or upon request. * Keep up-to-date with industry trends, local regulations, and market pricing. *Qualifications* * Minimum 10 years of experience in construction estimating. * Strong knowledge of general contracting and construction management practices. * Experience with civil concrete work is an asset. * Proficiency in estimating software. * Exceptional organizational and communication skills with an eye for detail. * Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects. * Familiarity with the Northern Ontario market is an advantage.
